Hello and Goodbye
At the beginning of the term we welcomed Jacon Brett and James Faubert. Over the
summer we say goodbye to Archie Dacre who is moving to New Zealand and Toby Daniels and Nathan Aviss who are moving up to cubs. We wish them all well.
Summer Term
This term we did various activities including many that worked towards the Fitness
Challenge and the Health and Fitness and the Healthy Eating activity badges, which most of the Beavers achieved. We made a healthy eatingh poster and learnt about personal hygiene.
We played rounders and football and learnt about Korfball. We made a healthy meal and went on a healthy hike. We finished off the term with a healthy picnic and games at Sparrows Den.

The Giant Sleepover

We took part in the county giant sleepover event at Bexleyheath mall on the 19th June. There was
the biggest group of 'Where's Wally', slug racing (which Monty won) and a midnight film – and we even got some sleep.
80 Years of Scouting at Emmanuel
On the 4th July we celebrated 80 years of Scouting at Emmanuel at
the Church Parade and with a family picnic outside the church after the service. The service was led by the some of the scout patrol leaders. We had a good turn out from the Beavers.
Prior to the service there was a competition to design a celebration badge. Khaim Spencer came up
with a very good design and was awarded a prize and a certificate. Well done Khaim!

Badges
There are six challenge badges. We work towards one challenge badge and at least two activity
badges each term. This means that if beavers attend regularly they should achieve all the challenge badges and most of the activity badges before their go up to Cubs. Most should achieve
the Chief Scouts Bronze Award.
All the badge requirements can be found at;

Autumn Term
We will be working towards the Promise Challenge Badge, the Creative and the Faith Activity
Badges.
Pantomime
I know that you may not want to start thinking about Christmas let alone new year's
Pantomime but I should hear about the West Wickham Pantomime before too long and I will need to know who will be going – I will send an e-mail as soon as possible.
